Skimmer Advise Requested

I am currently setting up a 27g Marineland Cube. I am making a custom sump and wanted to find out some information regarding skimmers. I was wondering if there is a skimmer that is not so water level sensitive as I will not have an auto top off. I am hoping to find one that has a good deal of play, where even if the water level moves up or down, it will operate well.

any advise will help.
Thanks!

In your sump if you put a baffle inbetween the skimmer section and the return section the skimmer section will never change, only the return area will. Another option is an external skimmer.

+1, all the internal skimmers I've seen are wa\ter level dependent, but if you place a baffle in your sump between the skimmer and the return pump the skimmer water level will remain constant.
