Jebao WP questions
New to saltwater and setting up a 120g 48x24x24 mixed reef. What I am looking for is how many and what model Jebao WP pumps to get. I have been reading a lot of good things about these.
The result I am after is a good variable flow without a lot of surface agitation. I have a BA overflow built now and will be cycling 1000 - 1200 gph through the sump and return. I want good circulation so I think 2 pumps and no less but should it be 2 wp25's or 2 wp40's? Thanks |

I have a wp40 on one side of my 120 gal. and two koralias on the other. the wp40 is powerful. I'm going to swap the koralias for a wp25. I think two wp25's would be enough.

i use 2 wp25's on my standard footprint 90, and i typically have to keep them on the lowest speed, or their "rockin" the house. I use W1 mode and Else Mode the most. I don't use any other powerheads besides these, and i get good water movement througout.
So for your tank, i think if you use 2 wp25's, and kept them on the speed 2, you would be ok, however, i think you'd probably also be ok with a wp40 on speed 3 and 25 on 2. |

Its up to your preferences. I have a wp40 on the left with the sensor plugged in and on wave mode, on the right I have a wp25 in else mode, and on the back I have a 25 in h1 mode. This gives me variable wave action mixed with high and low speed blowing across as well.
This is on a 72x24x30 |
