UV sterilizer Help
Hello all I am trying to see if anyone knows the flow rate needed to kill ich using a UV sterilizer? I am using a Aqua ultraviolet 57 watt Sterilizer. Also whats the best way to test the flow rate?

Measure how long it takes to fill a gallon via the output and compare it to time.
Crypto takes 280,000mJ/cm2. You need 342gph with that UV to hit that in perfect conditions so to be safe I would say under 280gph with new bulb and a clean quartz tube. It won't cure ich if its already on the fish. It will disrupt the life cycle of any ich that makes it through the sterilizer but it won't cure the fish already infected or a tank that is already infected.
