Dosing Calcium, Alkalinity & Magnesium

I'm just wondering if anybody has any info on how many milliliters to dose per gallon? I'm assuming there has to be some type of rough estimate.

Here's my situation:
I had a 60 gallon cube and took that down and put up a 150 gallon cube a little over a week ago. I used all of the water and rock and sand from the 60 gallon tank and then added new water , new sand, and cured live rock. In one week my calcium is still at 425, Alkalinity is 8.4 and magnesium is at 1250. I have a pretty decent load of LPS corals. I have a brand new Eshopps dosing pump, but with my current levels I'm not sure how much to dose without overdosing the tank.

Any suggestions?

there is no rough estimate. some people maintain levels with regular water changes , others dose 200 plus ml a day. You need to find out how much you tank consumes on a daily basis via testing. the apply your dose (depending if you do manually or dosing pump) to reach the desired quantities.

i dose 170 ml of cal and alk daily into my 180 mixed reef. this was figured by testing every day for a week to figure my consumption, then started dosing using pumps and adjusted the ml/ day until my params tested consistent. i still need to tweak it every once in a while as salt mixes, water changes and consumption change the rate.

hope this helps, there are plenty of other threads on this subject as well that will give you a good way to get started.

there's a table in the dosing write up for mg/gal for different types of tanks to get you started. Fine tune by testing.
