Another Stupid Question...with pic

I know it's difficult to see in this pic (I apologize), but this is basically half of one of my scarlet Hermits. I have two hermits and yesterday they were both crawling around doing fine. I just noticed this a few hours ago. It's basically half of one of my hermits and I don't see the shell anywhere. This wouldn't have to do with the "molting" process would it?
Sad to say, I don't have any empty shells in my tank. It almost looks like something attacked it and ripped it halfway apart. I don't have anything in the tank that would do that though...two clowns and some corals and snails. Shoud I get this out of my tank?

yes, it could be a molt. Keep your eye out for him, a lot of times they are pretty shy for a day or two afterwards. If it is or isn't a molt I wouldn't worry about removing anything unless its bother you.

Should I be betting "bigger" empty shells for these two guys, or do they just grow back in the same shell and molt again once they get to big?

Yes, you should have a few empty shells in there. If you have snails, they will kill them for theirs.
