Media canister or Reactor?
Hi you guys!
I just got a IM Nuvo 16G. The tank comes with 2 media baskets for: Mechanical Sponges Activated Carbon Sponges Phosphate Sponges After some research i decided to add 2 IM MiniMax – All-In-One Media Reactors, one carbon and one GFO, as well as a Tunze 9002 skimmer. I am planning to keep 3-4 small fish (goby & clown) and some soft corals. Still havent researched enough about shrimps, crabs and slugs. Am I being paranoid to use both the two canisters and two reactors? I am also looking for pumps. Any advice on that? Something that runs quiet? |

I wouldn't run canister filter (they are nitrate factors) and I would wait until after you have cycled to run carbon and GFO.
Are you looking for a return pump or powerheads?

Reactors every time!!. The water can flow around the chemical media in a canister. All you need is G.F.O and carbon.
