Question Need some cycling help.

Any tips and a list of things ill need for cycling my tank? I'm starting my research today. Thank you in advance (: means a lot

Use pure ammonia or a piece of raw shrimp to kick start the cycle.
Dont turn on your lights, don't skim, dont do water water changes during cycle
BE PATIENT its tough.

What's going into the tank? I probably would add saltwater and watch the ammonia level for a while. I don't see a need to add raw shrimp or ammonia if the tank has live rock in it.
