lionfish gut impaction?

I suspect that my lionfish has gut impaction. I got him a little over a month ago and have been feeding him frozen krill soaked in selcon. usually 1 a day. He hasn't eaten in 2 days and his stomach seems to be slightly bloated. I have read that krill often causes gut impaction but had not found anything else he would eat consistently. I purchased silversides today to give a try. His stomach does not seem as bloated but I am wondering if I should wait to feed him or what? I read on a different blog that some fish you can feed them peas to help wit gut impaction?

Careful feeding lionfish krill as it can cause lockjaw.

our lionfish has lockjaw from feeding frozen krill so if I were you I would stop because we have to take ours out of the tank and use tweasers to open his mouth then use a tube to put the food in so please stop using frozen krill he could die from the deseas lockjaw makes the lionfishes mouth wont open u will know when it has lockjaw because it wont open its mouth as usual and wont eat .

lionfish gut impaction?

Can a decent sized lionfish eat a whole silver side? I got one a few days ago and couldn't get him to take anything off tweezers. I threw a silverside into my tanks current and he took it down right away. First thing I got him to eat. It took him about 10 minutes to get the whole thing down. I'm worried I should have cut it in half but he doesn't show interest if I do that. He looks ok now.
