problem with tank level
okay question : have a tank 4' 8" long 30 inches wide and 27 tall and it sits on a stainless steel stand (open has remote sump) the floor is not quite level about 5mm out (does not sound a lot ) but since I have a new return pump 10,000 litre per hour my tank is now very full and the low side is away from overflow so water is up to the glass brace (half way up ) another two mm and would be on floor.
question if I put a 5mm spacer under low side would it put undue stress on stand . this is old pick different lights and set up now (this crashed while I was on holiday ) |

you would probably need to put a 5mm spacer under the end uprights on the low side, and 2.5 mm spacers under the center uprights

thanks
was not sure whether I would need support tapering down from low side but under the uprights sounds okay.

Mine is off a little but not enough to make a difference. In my opinion that tank looks a little weak you might be able to use shims and level it out a little

Even 5mm would be a bit too much for me; so I'd get that tank leveled up fast. Don't do it while full though .....

level tank
went with out a hitch .
dropped level to remote sump to about third then jacked up and put spacers to level ,then pumped back water only took about five minutes to complete. |
