Help ..!!! :( All my fish are dead!!!

I woke up this morning... And everything is dead !!

I'm very sorry to hear that, but do you have further details to help in troubleshooting?

Levels? - SG, Alk, Cal, Mg, Temp, Nitrate, Nitrite, Ammonia, etc.
Anything else look off other than the dead fish? Corals lost color, dead, etc?
Did you do anything different over the last few days that could explain this?
What was the stock list in the tank, and how long were these fish alive in your tank previously?

I wasn't able to check the water levels because I had to leave to work. Nothing has been changed. Everything is the same. My anemone was just hanging it wasn't attached to a rock. My yellow tang, pipefish dead as well. I have an anemone crab and one of he's big legs is missing. I notice one fish that had died a while back - reappeared. I had last seen him 4 weeks ago. He was just mopping around on the ground so I was like maybe he will be fine in the morning. Next morning I woke up looking for him and I couldn't find him. I figured something eat it or something and now 4 weeks later he's at the bottom of my tank still dead though. I have a starfish and a small clownfish and they look somewhat alive - they didn't seen so happy. My whole clean up crew is dead as well.

My corral also seemed different - looked not too alive.

that doesn't make a whole lotta sense. has he been dead in your tank for 4 weeks?

Yeah. The last time i saw him he was just kinda moving around and I was gonna take him out but I decided to give him the night to get better. The next morning I couldn't find him anywhere so I figured something eat it and didn't thing of it since. Then this morning he's back in my tank- still dead though.

was there power to the tank when you left for work? Do you have an ATO? Any chemicals get sprayed around the tank, pesticides, cleaners, deodorants, air fresheners, ? You mentioned a dead fish, Anything that dies causes ammonia, to much of this will cause large spikes in ammonia and if not corrected on the spot will cause a chain reaction of deaths possibly.

Test Ammonia, Nitrite, SG, and alk.....this params can cause death, look for power to the tank, GFI tripped, faulty pumps causing electricity in the tank.

Were your hands in the tank last night? Did you use any type of antibacterial stuff on your hands...this can cause tank problems.
Do you have any kids or guests that were over that might have put something in the tank, pennies, toys, alcohol, food, garbage, etc.

Describe behavior of the fish before they died. Contaminants would do what you are describing; the only parasite that could behave like that is Uronema.

If your anemone got chopped up by a power-head then that could explain all your dead fish, though perhaps not the CUC.

Sorry to hear that. I would generally suggest low oxygen in this situation caused by a power cut over night knocking out skimmer and pumps but this would kill your biggest fish first and your clean up crew would be fine so i'm not quite sure here.

Whats your ammonia reading?

I agree, it sounds like oxygen depletion, probably from a dead pump. Unless someone dumped something into the tank, that would be the most likely problem.

I don't think a fish could last 4 weeks dead in the tank even if nothing ate him he would have disolved by now unless it was a huge fish. I wonder if that fish finally died and caused a large ammonia spike. If you want to save the coral and anything else that may have survived I would start some serious water changes. Sorry for your losses.

My tank is over a year old. I know I figured it would of dissolved by now. It's not a large fish small actually.

I believe it is a 75g tank. My bet is an ammonia spike that killed the nem and then that nuked tge tank, but I am no expert.

My guess is that the fish that disappeared only died more recently. I believe your CUC would have disposed of it fairly quickly so it was probably in hiding and just died recently. We really need more info on the tank, but considering that you said coral was also affected, it sounds a bit like a contaminant may have gotten in the tank. It sounds awfully similar to what my brother-in-law observed with his tank when my poor sister forgot not to use spray cleaners around the tank.
