Huge Fan!
Begin unabashedly positive review of Tampa Bay Saltwater:
So, I'm a complete newb when it comes to aquariums, much less a reef tank. I started the process a little over a month ago by reading the Marine Aquarium Handbook and basically anything I could get my hands on online. I decided to start off with a Fluval Edge 12G but the tank arrived shattered, so I decided to up the ante to a 33G Mr. Aqua cube with a homemade 20G sump. After building some custom supports under my Ikea desk I decided to go with Tampa Bay Saltwater to get things going. You've read it here before, but I just cannot say enough positive things about Richard, his rock, his critters and his sponges. This is literally the best customer service experience I've had in my life. If it weren't for us using email to communicate I would swear I was transported back in time to a kinder place. His communications are near instant and he worked with me seamlessly after my first shipment when I upgraded "The Package" from a 12 gallon setup to 33 gallon tank and 20 gallon sump. *Seamlessly* I write and literally stuff shows up at the airport that same day or the next day. Who does this!? Here are some pictures to give you a sense of how things are looking. There still some more work to be done but I'm still in awe of the rock and everything I've received with it. Even my LFS is in awe and was taking down information so that he could check it out. 10/10 on every possible rating (quality, service, shipping, etc.). Just wanted to share in case you guys are thinking of going TBS. Can't say enough great things. P.S. The plants are actually in the sand, they've just tipped over. And, yes, I know I need to work on the sideways coral. I'm still working on how to best attach things, etc. Steep learning curve! |
