I've had urchins for years but this is a new one
Just got a barnacle blenny two weeks ago, urchin picked up the shell he lives in and is carrying them both around:

My old tank had a pin cushion. He would do the same, carry stuff for days. Although never a fishes home, only a snail or two lol

I kicked my urchin like that to my sump. Hes such a pain. They are just bulldozers. They knock over even glued corals. He needs a new home.

Lol, my halloween urchin does this with anything it can find. Recently I had a cluster of zoanthids that got pulled off of the rock and he found them. Wore them for a week before setting them down on the sand bed.

Yeah, like I said I've had urchins for years so I am used to them carrying around frags, rocks, snails, rubble, etc. I urchin-proof my tank pretty well so it doesn't bother me.
They are still chugging along:

Love it! I lost my urchin a few months ago, I need to get a replacement. They are fun to watch.

My tuxedo urchin managed to snag a few pieces of anthelia the other day. It looked like he had a hairdo lol.

that's too funny!!
i have had to rescue a feather duster from my tuxedo urchin a couple of times. i was afraid he would drop him behind the rocks and i'd never see him.
