Kenya Tree

Hello all. Wondering if I could get some input in regards to Kenya Trees. My current setup has been up and running for almost 2 months now. It has cycled and I am just waiting for my first algae bloom. I currently have a royal gramma and a black ice clown pair and plan to pick up a yellow coris wrasse tonight. Everyone is happy and doing well. My boyfriend has a 29 cube reef setup. Yesterday he decided to put one of the Kenya trees he had in my tank, as I plan to go full reef. As this is a very hardy coral to start with I guess he didn’t think it would be a probably. I’m not 100% familiar with acclimation on corals yet but he didn’t do anything. Literally his tank to mine. Our temp is pretty much the same 77-78 degrees and SG is within .001 of each other. As expected it remain all closed up yesterday but still has not even showed any signs of opening up. I am currently running a Gen 2 Eco Tech radion centered above my tank. I plan to get another before any other corals are add. The Kenya tree is pretty much centered in the tank and in the light. Should I just give it more time to get use to its new surroundings or should I move it back to his tank?
I would like to reiterate that this was not my idea and by the time I noticed it was already in the tank.

Thanks!

I wouldn't want it in my tank. What coral are you wanting to keep?

I am not 100% sure yet. I haven't really researched it as I am not ready for them. The only one I know for sure is a BTA for my clowns

They are very prolific and most don't end up wanting them in Their tanks

As of right now I am not opposed to it. I think they are fun to watch blow in the current. I just need to know if I am killing it by it being in my tank or if it will take another day or so to open up.

It's fine. They can be closed up for a few days after something as traumatic as swapping tanks.
