Wtaer change - Boyu Tl550
Hi Guys
So I have a quick question, I'm doing a 25L water change every week on my 128L Boyu Tl550 So I would like to know if this large water change is bad for my coral and the rest of my reef? Should I do 10% weekly or can I keep doing my 25L water change Thanks Regards |

Unless you have high nitrates and/or phosphates, there is no reason to do a large water change every week. I would just stick to 10% weekly water changes.

My nitrates are around 10 never higher than that, so ill be doing 10% weekly water change from now on.
Thanks man One more question for how long should I leave my lights on? at this moment they are running for 10 hours and them 1 hour with the moonlight leds before I go to sleep |

8-10 hours is good. I have my blues come on at 1pm, whites from 2-9pm, blues off at 10pm(blues are my moonlights).
If you have corals or plan to get any, you may want to get those nitrates down. Plus, nitrates contribute to algae growth.

The only thing I can think of that's causing my nitrates to be so high is the bio balls in the sump of the tl550, I have removed half of it and replaced it with the LR so will replace the rest, any other ideas?

Yeah, definately get rid of the bioballs. I would wait to see if the nitrates go down after removing the bioballs and your next water change.
