Florida Olive Nerite snails

I harvested about 50 Florida Olive Nerite snails from a pound near a bay and I'm pretty sure it's brackish as there are both fresh and salt water fish in it. I acclimated the snails via drip and 5 gallon bucket for about an hour (possibly too short). They have all survived the last 48 hours and have moved from the sand bed onto the glass. Strange thing is they are huddling on the glass in large groups, some are moving around the LR and sandbed but most are just on the glass. I believe they possibly are adapting back to marine water environment explaining lack of activity but by the huddling together? I also have about 20 in a 40 gallon fresh water planted aquarium all doing very well. Anyone else have nerite snails in their reefs? Observed this behavior?

Thanks! I had found the first article but not the second and it does say specifically that they do huddle during the day. Thanks! Very helpful.

I am hoping they will be a great CUC.

That may have exceeded the bag limit slightly...

Normal behavior for them. Put the group on suicide watch for a while too. Some almost always drop out of the tank as the group gets used to the concept of tides no longer existing. Otherwise, they'll basically hang out at the water line (or above) until they get hungry.
