What's a good bio pellet reactor for 75 gal
Like the title says, I'm looking for a good bio pellet reactor. Most likely get a recirculating reactor would be best. Any thoughts.?

I like the aquamaxx reactor. Price is fairly inexpensive as well

Innovative Marine makes a decent one. Easy to use and clean. Very small footprint in sump.

Been using the JNS Alpha2 on my Elos 75g. Tumbles pellets perfectly, never clumps. 0 Nitrates 0 phosphates, couldn't ask for more.

Do not buy the Cadlights BR-1 I bought one and it is very cheaply made. Garbage motors, and there customer service sucks. And they take forever to ship anything. I didn't even hook it up. I sold it, and got something different

I'm also curious whether people would recommend biopellets or GFO on a 75 gallon tank?

do bio pellets need to tumble?
So I've been running a BRS dual reacor, carbon on one side, Biopellets in the other. I'm running a cobalt 1250 power head, so that's close to nort of 250 gph. That said, the pellets are not tumbling well, liminted movement.
Is tumbling necessary?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tJllUN2xAs4 BRS dual reactors are for GFO and carbon. http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/brs-gf...ecb0394f7.html Don't use a RO-style reactor for bio-pellets like you do. Last edited by sowildpaul; 07/07/2014 at 03:44 PM. |

So it does... even though one the guys thought it might work. That said, I have one of these :http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/brs-gf...42d1842ff.html
Which looks quite a bit like this http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/brs-bi...reactor-1.html
