Hoddoni help!

I just acquired a 15in haddoni carpet from a neighbor and he is doing great for the week i've had him. But my stupid eibl's angel has been picking at him and actually eating the small tentacles around his mouth. How do I get him to stop before I get rid of that fish!

Safely cover the nem with a plastic strainer? Really need to get one or the other out quickly.
