The new adventures of bubba

So most of you know I have a 75 mixed reef and have had decent luck with it in the last few years. Recently my wife started complaining about the tank because it is in the living room where she spends a good amount of time and I have my own room for my interests and hobbies so she has been pressuring me to move the tank. Unfortunately for me the tank wont fit in my room so I was kinda forced to downsize. At first I was bummed about downsizing AGAIN but after getting my new tank I am very excited about my new adventure. So my new tank is an all in one tank which is nice, no more overflowing sump lol, and it is an Innovative Marine mini 38. Another new route I went with on this tank which Ive wanted to do for a while is to make a 3d background for it which before I put it in the tank looked like a litter box with rocks in it but now that its in the tank looks incredible, imo. Anyways, enough jabber and off to the pics.

Here is the frame for the stand I built. I had to make the stand short otherwise the tank and light block my tv. Damn small rooms, lol

Here is my finished stand

Here is the frame for my 3d background

Here is the frame with the dry rock attached

I zip tied the rocks to the frame

This is the foam I used to fill in the gaps on the background frame. It is fish safe and has a uv filter in it to stop it from breaking down under my halide

After filling in the gap with foam I covered it with sand. Didn't quite work out the way I planned but Im still happy with it

This is after I finished the foam and covered it in sand

This is what I meant about it not turning out the way I planned. after covering it with sand it expanded some more exposing the black foam in a few spots. Still looks cool though, lol

Here is the background siliconed in

Here is the tank right after filling it with water and is now currently cycling. Still a bit cloudy here but it is crystal clear now and has been running for exactly 1 week today

A closer front pic

A left side shot

And a right side shot
