Hole in Toadstool

My toadstool has developed this small hole in the middle of it. I've read it could be splitting or not. But I'm not sure. Any ideas?

Looks like it may be splitting. Keep an eye on it.

It actually just dropped a small piece a few days ago. So maybe splitting a second time.
