Storing Live Rock, Dry.
Hey everyone, I've decided to take a break. I'm going to eventually move, and maybe restart my 110g down the road, but I'm talking 1-2 years.
Anyway, I'm just going to clean everything and store it in my basement. I have around 100lbs of live rock in the tank still that I want to just keep. I don't want to mess with selling it to 6 different people, or taking $.50/lb at a store. Can I simply take it out, dry it out, and place it in a bin for a year or so? And then just use it as dry-rock down the road? Or is it going to get all gross, and unusable? I have no idea... When I reuse it, I'll just seed the tank and wait for it to become "live" |

Clean it off as best you can. I let mine sit outside for a year or so, then it was in boxes in the basement, where some still sits. It will be fine.
