Common English Names for Corals
In a month, I will be back in Canada, over there I'm planning to build a sps coral reef tank. Although I don't know the common names for corals, is there a website or anything that have information for corals? (all kinds) It doesn't really have to be in Chinese and English, but pictures are necessary.

This should be a good starting point http://coral.aims.gov.au/info/factsheets.jsp
Scientific names should be the proper way to identify corals (then language will not matter). If you are looking for the marketing names people use I am not sure if there is a complete data base, plus it seems everyone changes the names once a coral is in their possession. There are also good books for coral identification, like corals of the world |

Usually when you buy corals in the store, do you ask by common names or scientific names?

It really depends on the coral type though -- zoas/palys tend to have some crazy names, but they're all just color variants.
