Nuvo Aquarium 3 Stage Media Sponges as additional filtration?

I will be setting up a 130gallon reef display tank. It will have a Reef Octopus Skimmer RO-PS-1000LSS. However, I was wondering if it makes sense to add additional filtration help. I noticed that new IM Nuvo tanks have this media sponges, so I have the following questions:

Will they have larger filter sponges now that they have the new Nuvo SR series?
If not, can I use three set of sponges for my tank inside the sump, since they are rated for their 38cube tanks, so three will make up for almost 120gallons.
Will it help or make a differrence these sponges in the tank as additional filtration goes?

Thanks

All these sponges are is a filter sponge, carbon, and a phosphate remover. Better to run a filter sock, gfo and activated carbon in a reactor. It will be more efficient and cheaper to maintain.
