skimmer, fish only
Hi I'm aware this maybe dragging up an old subject but I currently have started a marine fish only aquarium. I have salted ro in and its been running fishless for about 4 weeks, I'm planning on installing ocean rock and have coral sand, the very maximum I plan to have 4 fish albeit introducing a pair of clowns first. My issue is skimming, I have a juwel 3.0 but it takes up so much space in the aquarium and its extremely noisy, I'mwwondering bearing in mind the set up if is it essential? If its a case of regular water changes I'm leaning towards not having it, please don'tjudge me! If tthat's the case how often am i lookin at changes? Once weekly? 2 weeks?

a bump goes for your thread!
a skimmer would be needed if your tank had a reef setup. using live rock and a sandbed, i would think a fish only system should be fine. how big is the tank? |
