MarinePure vs. LiveRock

Hey Guys,

I've just begin a new build for a 180G tank, and total volume is probably going to be around 400 gallons. The main display is going to be upstairs, and then downstairs (Basement) I'll have a remote Fuge, Sump, etc...

Right now, I've got around enough rock for my main tank for the view I want, however I don't have enough to filter the entire system. In reading a few articles on dry vs. live rock, etc.. I came across the MarinePure stuff, and was wondering if that'd be an alternative to buying more rock.

Anyone have any experience with this in a medium sized system? (Reef + SPS target)

Sorry, meant to add a link to that.. Here're some videos that illustrate why I'm even considering it instead of LR (Dry LR)

I'm running it in my newly setup nano. I'm using the spheres in my overflow chamber of my cad lights 8g. Been running for a few months now and its one of those really slow builds. I have one fish and a few snails/hermits. But so far, my cheap test kits are not registering any nitrates. Zero.

Dennis, i´m wondering if having the spheres in the overflow isn´t to much flow and also, does it clog easy ? Do you clean them from time to time ?

Thanks

I don't really know.
So far they seem to be working well.
I haven't removed/cleaned them.
