manifold and calc reactor

Hi,

still working out how to plumb the new tank (180 gal) and did search on this site…overwhelming to say the least.

one question (there are lots of others) is why do some people use a manifold? what is the benefit of a manifold?

2nd question, i won't add a calc. reactor immediately but i will eventually so what should i do to the plumping NOW so adding a reactor is easier in the future?

thank yoU!!

A lot of people are actually using peristaltic pumps these days. They can be purchased off E-Bay at a good price. They can be pricey but will last forever. I has leaning towards running my reactor off a manifold or small feed pump until I can buy a peristaltic

I t-ed off my return to I could add a manifold but haven't added one yet, lazy I guess. All I have to do is attach it to where I placed a 3/4" true union valve and open the valve to feed it.
