return to hobby

I previously had a 95g corner tank with with carpet/mushroom coral, anemome and fish. Moved in 2009 and took down the tank. Now restarting with a 150g DelMar 48x24x30 tank. I still have sump, plumbing, skimmer, chiller and pumps from old tank. This tank will be a more heavy reef tank with easier corals to start. I plan on a 4 inch sand bed. I really want to use led lighting and have spent hours looking at threads here. Will a maxspect R420r be sufficient for this application or should I look elsewhere? The other's I have considered are hydra's and Kessel. Also is there any benefit to "thunderstorm" programing other than human entertainment? Thanks
