ASM G-1X still a decent performer?
Have someone selling one locally for $50. Has a Sedra 3500 pump, and is in good condition. I'll probably do the gate valve mode, and possibly some other modifications. It will go on a 120g volume system, but actual tank volume will be about 80g.
Worth it?

I run a G2 with a Sed5000 (upgraded pump) on my 120g (w 45g sump). It works well enough. I did not have enough room in my sump chamber for the gate valve mod.
At 50 its at least worth a try If it doesn't have it make sure you add the silencer capsule (you make with PVC)

I have a G2 on my 120 also. Gate valve and muffler mods are a must, IMHO. I'm not sure a G1 would be enough, but the price is certainly right.
