I generally just put a blob of super glue gel. No problems yet!

epoxy usually should do the trick. I prefer glue but when I need more hold I use epoxy. I don't think you are doing anything wrong attaching coral can be a pain.

Copious amounts of super glue gel should solve your problem.

The superglue and epoxy sandwich works well for me. Are you using the thicker superglue?

What type of coral. Some soft ones will produce so much slime that they will keep falling off. Some like mushrooms can also release themselves and float away from where they are if they are agitated too.

The mushrooms are hooked to a shell, it's how they came and I did the epoxy sandwich thing..,,, the stupid snails keep knocking it off though.

If you're trying to glue a mushroom, you really can't. Or are you just trying to glue the shell to your rockwork?

What kind of epoxy are you using? I've always done the super glue gel then epoxy and it's worked for me.

Make sure that the glue you are using is only Cyanoacrylate.

Watch out, it forms a "skin" on and in the water when you glue it.. The best method I have found on a flat surface is to bubble a larger area with the super glue and insert the frag into it. Forms a perfect fit. The downside is you use a lot.. Try and place it into a hole in the rock and glue around it.
