led lighting suggestions for chinese leds
Hey there ....I have 2 chinese leds on my 90 gallon tank ....what
height do u guys rec for 30 in depth tank... has anyone switxhed out the leds with anything stronger and how hard is it too swap out... and where did u get leds from. let me know thanks tom |

It all depends on your optics on the LED units.
Find that out, then you can decide how high to mount them for best coverage..........and no disco ball effect. |

They are full spectrum....90 degree optics

I would start around 10-12" off the water and see how it looks. If you find you are getting the "disco ball" effect, go higher for better blending of colors.

It's not generally worth swapping the LEDs unless you hate the color.

The color is not bad just was wondering if there is a prefered color arrangement
to make things grow thats all... |

I run 60* on my fixtures over my 31" tall tank. Lights are approximately 13" off the water. Whites / full spec at 40% and blues at 100%
