AquaMaxx HOB-1 3-6 month ETA???
Just went to check availability on MD and it said 3-6 month ETA!
I had my heart set on a new AquaMaxx HOB-1 but I cant wait that long. Bio load is very low but dont want to chance it as I add more fish. Really like the all contained in a box look and reviews of this model but 6 months??? Any experienced suggestions? Thanks!

Why not buy a skimmer for your sump instead of a hob?

I would love to put a skimmer in my sump but there is just not enough room in the cabinet under. I can barely get my hand in to to top offs and change filter socks.

Jns is a bit smaller in size. Same pump. Same bubble plate. Same rating. Only difference is the jns isn't see thru acrylic and the collection cup is like the aquamaxx cones co1. I have a jns coneS co2 and it's exactly the same as the aquamaxx. Same company.

The current version is larger, uses the Shark 1.5 pump, has a larger collection cup and is a much more powerful skimmer I own both the original and the updated version. Both great skimmers. |
