Protein Skimmer Recommendations

Im going to be getting a 270g tank with a 50 gallon sump. What do you guys think will be a good skimmer. I want it to be quite also. I have a reef octupus diablo and its louder than my mp40s fully ramped up. Tank will have a modest bio load and sps dominated

If price is not an issue go with a vertex or a korallen zucht they're both quiet and perform well..

Reef octopus is a good skimmer and the price is also good.

I have the new generation and I can´t hear any noise.

I have the XP 1000SSS with bubble blaster 1000 pump

For you, the 3000 / 5000 it' s a good choice

Best Regards

I was thinking the 5000 would be good.
