90 gallon LED lighting
I am new and have purchased three different light sets. One I returned as it was defective. I now have ordered a fourth one the Evo Quad 48 inch reef ready light.
I will pull one off and use this new one along with my reef ready marineland reef capable with 2610 lumens. Will this give me enough light for my 90 gallon and what corals would I be able to have in there-I really want to try several of the hard as well? |

I am a little confused at what the questions is, what light fixture do you have on the tank right now?

However, I do not know how to convert or determine what corals these will support. |

I went from a Current USA Sundial 4x54W T5HO http://www.petstore.com/48-inch-curr...w-w-timers-led to a CT-Lite Intelli Sun dual 85W LED setup http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/sh....php?t=2327944. Very happy with the energy savings as well as the happy fish & LPS corals.

I looked at the one you purchased-gorgeous! My tank has much to be desired as at this point I only have a very few corals.
I have, what I think is an acceptable light for growing coral as it puts out 192 watts of power and I have a second light on there (the marineland reef ready 2610 lumens) so, if I am calculating correctly, I should be good? I think at some point I would love to have the light you have in your post! |

You have plenty of brightness I think what you will be lacking with the two fixtures you have now is full spectrum, which means you probably wont have the best coloration of corals but will probably be able grow several corals. What I would do is start with a few softies like leathers or zoas. Then move up to LPS's, duncan and trumpet corals tend to be hardy. Slowly work your way up to the more complicated corals to see what the limitations of the lights are.
Also Remember that light is only one part of coral health, make sure to keep water quality high and stable. Last edited by Donkeykong; 06/20/2014 at 12:35 PM. |

Thank you for your suggestions. I may look at adding an led full spectrum in the next year or so.
