ID on growth on one of my rocks

I've got some growth on one of my rocks. Its been there for a month and is only slowly spreading. Its the color of pest anenomes but it looks more like some type of clove polyp colony. I am trying to determine if it is going to be a plague in my tank. I can try to get better pictures when the lights are better. Any suggestions for removing it?
