Build My LED XB on Sunpower

Got my BML actinic strip this week.
The fluorescence is crazy. I have it set where the first hour in the morning and last 1.5 hours in the evening is the BML strip only.
If you love the Psychedelic look this is a good option.
LEDs : Standard actinic model with 450, 470 and 405.
I considered a custom model to ad some 420 but I think I made the right choice.
Camera set to 12,800K (high as my camera goes). Shot raw only adjusted sharpness a bit. The color in photos seem very accurate.
Didn't take any daylight photos it's hard to tell the difference in a photo. With the daylights it gives a hint of blue like a radium that my bulb combo didn't have before. I run two Blue plus for dusk/dawn and it gives a crisper blue with much more fluorescence.
LED only is just nuts.

How do you make photos larger here?

Very nice, Ive been looking into getting the same strip but only in 12" to supp my metal halide. Im glad you like it, Seems to do the job well. Thanks for posting multiple pics it helps alot. Would you recommend 2 or 1, it will be next to a 250w metal halide. Thanks
Kyle

Well.. I'm no expert.
My tank is 30" front to back and 24" tall. I have the 90 degree lenses and I think If this was my only supplements I would need at least two. My light is probably 8-10 inches off the water so it will vary with every setup and lenses you choose.
I think the folks at BML would steer you in the right direction better than I can.

I got tired of waiting but it may be worth waiting for the new 3 channel version that's coming out. Just in case it's too blue for ya.. you could tweak things.
Since this is just for some extra wow factor on my system it works great for me.

What is the Difference in the three pics?

Is it each spectrum of led (like only 450 in pic 1, only 470 in pic 2, only 405 in pic 3)?

Or did you take the picture with T5's on as well?

I thought that the Build My LED only was On/Off and Dimable.

They are coming out with a 3 channel controlled version. This one their current actinic XB model.
It's hard to see but when you click on the picks lower left shows what each pic is.
First is T5 only (ATI blue Plus)
Second is T5 and the LED strip
Third is LED strip only.

Right on, I was thinking 2 would be appropriate for supplemental lighting. It's just hard to find anyone with reviews on this product. I will be waiting for the 3 way dimmable to come out. My metal halide is about 7" off the water so I'll probably go with 75 degree optics since there will be 2 bml strips on the two sides of the mh reflector, about 12" apart.

Wow is that with Just One Strip?

How many T5 Bulbs are you using?

I have 4 Blue Plus's on my Tank and 2 All Blue Stunner Strips and they do nothing (Are overpowered when the T5's are on - but look nice when the T5's are off).

The Build My LED seem to make a Big Difference when they are on with T5's too.

I might have to get some.

Do you know when the 3 channel controlled version is coming out?

Or how much more it will cost than the current BML Strips?

I asked them directly and they said it will cost more but a price hasn't been set yet.
I was told the new fixture would be ready in March. Got tired of being told it's almost ready. I'm not sure but I think the multi channel requires external controller they said will cost about $130 for the controller.
