What is this brown stuff?

Diatoms maybe?
Tanks been up for a loooong time now, thought I was done with diatom blooms.
All params are normal, although I do have a barely traceable amount of ammonia.
(I have a bad camera so the photo makes my tank water look weird)

hard to tell with blurry pics but my guess is cyano if not diatoms.

better flow, less nutrients, change your light bulbs, test for phosphates to see if something is leaching them

I think those are the standard remedies.

What sort of clean up crew are you using? I use a Fighting Conch to keep my sand stirred up and prevent this from happening. I also have seen it in the lower flow areas of the tank.
