Tunze 7095 with 2x6255's
I'm in the middle of a upgrade from a 90 to a custom 220 gal from coast to coast. I have only ever used mp 40's but on my upgrade I decided to switch to tunzes. I can't find much info or reviews on the 6255's. Can anyone with these give me some experience? As I mentioned I've never used tunzes so I don't know what to expect especially with the 7095 multi controller. What is/would be the optimum settings for high random flow? Thanks for your help.

I don't know much about the 6255s other than that they seem to be a pretty powerful pump.
If you can wait till the end of July, the Tunze 7097 controller is supposed to be released, which is a software based controller. It may have more flexibility for the random modes you want than the 7095.

From what I've read it is basically just the 7095 only with Bluetooth to control your pumps with your phone.

I've read it's more sophisticated than that, more modes as well as the ability to updated in the future.
Time will tell, I suppose. I'm sure you wouldn't go wrong with a 7095, and it's available now.

There's a difference between 7095 and 7096. 7097 equal to 7096 with bluetooth support.

The 6255s are very powerful pumps and to tell you the truth will be too big for a 220. I was going to use them on my 300 but they were just too big. I would recommend 2 6105s and if you can afford it 4 6105s. This will give you the greatest flexibility, especially since they come with a wide and narrow shroud. See this article on Tunze flow.

+1 to jschultzbass. I've installed 4x6105 (wide shroud) controlled by the 7095 on a 300DD and 75% power is all it can handle w/o blowing the sand from the front to the back.
