Tunze 6095 magnet question

I just received a tunze 6095 that I purchased new.
Quick question. The magnet that attaches to the pump is smaller than the outer side magnet. They are a good 2 inch difference.. Just wondering if that is right or if I received the wrong outer magnet??

I received my 6025 with a bigger magnet also. I think this is pretty common, no negative effects at all. I heard tunze does this to keep costs down, but not 100% sure. You should have nothing to worry about.

Thanks. I feel like it doesn't hold as tightly to the glass with the magnets being 2 different sizes. Doesn't make much sense to me either.
Also on the box the picture shows the magnets are the same size.

Roger Vitko (Tunze USA) provided an explanation for the new style magnets in the past.

I think you can still puchase old style magnets separately. Without a doubt they are stronger than the new magnets.
