RODI Operating Temp

I'm thinking of installing my RODI unit in the laundry room in my basement. The room is on the inside corner of the house fully enclosed not sure in its insulated but it does have a heat vent (register) in there.

Does anyone know what's the lowest temp I can run my RODI in without fear of it freezing and the canisters from cracking in the winter? Any suggestions?

Thanks

I don't know about the DI meda, but as far as the water goes it'll stay liquid down to 32 degrees. So, as long as you're above that you should be ok.

I would at least try to keep the temp around 50 to be safe, the canisters get to cold and they can become brittle, I had an old unit (cheap one) that the canisters cracked at 40 degrees

If I had any room in my house (basement or not) that got even close to that I'd care less about the RODI and more about fixing that problem..

RODI placement

Thanks for the information. I will install it there and place a thermometer that I have in there too. Therefore I can monitor the temp in the laundry room in the winter.

One more question, is there an alarm or some sort of protection to install in case of a RODI leak. I believe Apex has sensors but I'm not spending $500 on an Apex.

Thnx
