Got some cured rock look good?

Had one aptasia on another rock. What is a good method to rid of this single aptasia?

And I didn't realize the zoanthids on there at my LFS but when I pulled the rock out of the bucket I noticed them and put them in fast..... lol. Hopefully a few make it no phosphates thank god.
All in all good looking? Or no? they smelled fine no bad smell or anything.

what exactly are you asking?

the rock looks good, but you should test for ammonia/nitrtite over the next week before you add anything. if you are cycling with live rock, then you should still be testing for ammonia and nitrite anyway before you add anything.

those palys spread quickly, so make sure to trim them back regularly, and handle them with caution, they are poisonous (just like any other paly, maybe worse). I personally like them. they are very green under LED

to get rid of aiptasia, inject with lemon juice, cover with kalk paste, burn with a blow torch, reef napalm, etc. there are a million ways to overkill it. I have like6 aiptasia in my tank for about 6 years, and they dont bother anything, but people do freak out about them.

Thx I'm nearly at the end my cycle. Ammonia spiked and dropped and now it's dropped my nitrites spiked and now dropping. My Nitrate hasent spiked it's stayed at 15-30ppm. No fish just my hitchhikers

I really hate the blowtorch idea, especially knowing there are Palys in the tank. Recipe for disaster if you ask me. Any of the other methods would work though.

Palytoxin decomposes at 300 Celsius. Butane and Propane blow torches burn at up to 1900 celsius. Palytoxin, and I am pretty sure a vast majority of toxins will decompose much before 1900 celsius.

The big incident that I have read about on reef central was from a member who breathed in water vapor that had palytoxin in it. As you know, water boils at 100 celsius, and really past 370 it is a super critical fluid. Im not completely sure, but I don’t think many household boiling methods bring water to a supercritical fluid, so that member who got palytoxin poisoning most likely was dealing with steam/hot water below 300c, therefore the palytoxin did not decompose. You are in more danger just touching them than bringing a blow torch to them in my opinion.

also, from the picture palys are not near it. I also do not think many people would actually blow torch it.
