Something is eating my Birds nest coral?
Anyone have an idea of what could be eating my birds nest coral?
I have: Copperbanded butterfly kole tang clown percula damsel I'm thinking it's the copperbanded? The Kole and the damsel can easily get into the egg crate cage that it's in. But the only time it gets eaten is when the birds nest is exposed. Does the copper banded eat corals? Last edited by toku58; 07/03/2014 at 11:14 PM. |

Most likely the butterfly
You can also suspect the pencil urchin they are known coral eaters

The Butterfly also shows interest in the birdsnest, but he never really picks at it while I'm watching the tank? I'll relocate the pencil to my nano (inverts only) tank. I hope it stops. I'd really hate to get rid of my Copperbanded. Thanks for the insight! |
