Kessil A350w
Is there a thread specifically dedicated to the 350s?
I couldn't find. Thanks. |

Not that I know of. Amazon had a good price on them so I now have a pair in the mail. These are all the things I know. I'll know more tomorrow.

I have them for my new setup for more than a month. I love it for the most part. These cannot be hooked up to a controller so it sucks but I don't need that for now. Also these don't go off all the way which I find bugging. Other than that they are fantastic. You wont be disappointed. However, if you need a controller or more thane one, then go for the A360W.

The 350w is awesome on my biocube 29!!! I started up 2 feet and moved it to the gooseneck with a 90° and now it is on just the gooseneck about 8" from the water. The acropora are actually opening their polyps and coloring up!

Oh mine are on a reef angel but can only be controlled as a timer/no dimming (except manual dimming obviously)

I have 2 of the 350s on my 30 gallon Cardiff and love them for my corals. They are the deep ocean blue and sky blue. I run the deep ocean on a timer a few hours before and after the sky blue and my corals (mushrooms, zoas, softies) absolutely love the light. I've also got them on the goose neck the earlier poster mentioned.

Glad that I was able to make this thread to spread knowledge and opinions of this light.
My 2 kessil a350w's will be here tomorrow and I'm excited. While I know they can't be controlled through a controller I got a great price on them, each with goosenecks. I'm going to plug them into dial timers I've been using with my current lights. I'm going to have 1 light come on an hour before the second and the second light go off an hour after the first. This way , I get some sort of sunrise sunset (in a way). I wish I had the $ for the 360s since the new controller is coming out for them. But I'm still happy with my purchase. Post some pics of your set ups with this light! |

How deep is your tank? My tank is 24" deep by 24" square and I run about 50% white and 50% blue during the day. At night about 75% blue and 10% white for about two hours just for the look.
Purely subjective. |

I gave $270 for each. I misread the ad and thought they were the A350w model, but they're the normal 350 with the more narrow spread. 2 are over my standard 120g and the spread is good enough to cover the whole tank. They're really close to being too narrow to cover the tank as a pair and might be if I didn't have the super common 2 island set up. A pair of w's would be great, but they didn't have them at that price.
As for a general review, I'm really happy with them. I"m still settling in on a color balance, but I'm very happy with them. I like that they don't give the 'synthetic' look that a lot of LED setups are plagued with (Hydras, Onyx, Radion, good cutom sets). They look much better than the Rapid retro on my BioCube and my AI Nano (apples/oranges, I know), and the visual footprint over my tank is much reduced from the 2 lumenmax reflectors that were over it.

Nice deal! I used to have the 120w Dimmable LEDs from eBay before these. I got good color from my corals but so much light outed into the room. I love these kessils so much the shimmer is crazy. |

Anyways my sps were not opening, I put the light upto 100% and boom they're open. That was back when I had it mounted 2.5-3 feet off the tank. I slowly moved it down and never turned down the intensity. I haven't noticed any ill effects.

I use an iphone as well so I know how much it sucks to take pictures.
I have my lights right now about 18'' off the water surface. I just got the goosenecks in the mail so I'm going to mount those tonight. |

They're really close to the water without the 90° adaptor.
