Petco Dollar per Gallon Tank Question

Hey guys,

As you probably know, petco's dollar per gal sale is back. I just bought a 10 gal and 20L both made by Tetra. My question is,

Can I drill the sides of these tanks?

I bought a 40 Breeder last summer same deal and was able to drill it. But I figured If anyone knows from experience that would be great to know first hand. I know there are some tricks out there to tell if it is tempered or not but if anyone has drilled these size and brand tanks lets hear how it went!!

Thanks guys!!

Just did some quick research and found this thread. Post #24 says it would be safe to drill the sizes I mentioned. Can anyone confirm?

Only the bottom should be tempered, but I can't say I have tried it personally. Hopefully someone else can confirm...

Tempered glass will look "blotchy" seen through polarized glass.
