Returning to the hobby.

I am returning to this hobby (addiction) after a 20 year gap and I was as confused as the first time I started a tank! In those days (in Ireland) it was fish only and under gravel filters and powerheads that were the way to go and only a very limited choice of salt etc. I have been reading all the posts on this forum and have found them of great interest and help. Since coming to America to live and re-kindling my love for the hobby I find that the choices are vast, but as I said this forum has been a great help and just wanted to thank everyone for the information they give to us Newbies.

I took an 18 year break myself. Pretty much everything has changed, all for the better. Best of luck with your new tank!

Be sure to read through the stickies at the top of this forum. Lots of great info there.

welcome back to the hobby / addiction... I would also read the disease stickies and the procedure on how to Quarantine all new fish... Honestly if you are starting fresh.. you can start with a ich free tank.. and keep it that way. QT all fish... so that once your tank is going you don't have problems later...

ENJOY!

Neptune..
