ATI T5s

Will 4 24w ATI T5s work for a 29g reef. More specifically 3 Blue Plus and 1 Purple Plus.

Thanks in advance

Yes.

What fixture are you running them in?

I'm probably going to get attacked for saying this on here but I'm not rollin in the dough right now. Its a Odyssea 30" works perfectly so far and got it on E-bay for 80 bucks. Timer works great, would recommend to those a little short on funds.

who cares, if it grows coral then why does it matter. i would throw in a full spectrum bulb though, at least one coral plus or one aquablue special and replace one of your blue plus

Thanks for the advice, I'm new to the whole reef thing. Kept mushrooms and zoas before but thats about it. Would the coral plus wash my tank out too red? Which of the two whould you recomend I get?

I just replaced my 4 ati bulbs, had 2 blue+, one coral+, one purple. I swapped out the purple for an actinic and am much happier.

That's the exact setup I have on my 20 long, although I'm using 2 blue+, a color +, and an aqua blue special.

The biggest limit is the flat reflector in the fixture.

no it would not even a little bit. I've had 2 ati blue+ 1 ati purple+ and one ati coral plus as a combo before and it worked fine.

4 bulbs should be fine but the tank is going to look like a bottle of Windex with those bulbs.
I'd replace the purple with a Coral+ which has some of the Purple+ in it, but will add more white light to the tank.
Coral+ AND Purple+ is too pink IMHO.
