Has anyone tried a LED Metal Halide combo?

I've been running the Razr 420 over a 29 gal reef aquarium and am looking to finally up size. I love the ability to be able to control the leds however I am looking for added color and have heard that you can't replicate what you get from metal halides. So I'm considering doing both. Has anyone else tried this?
