This is a 2.5g tank right? Probably won't ever be happy there.

If this is the 2.5 that you asked about earlier, it will die in there. Probably pretty quickly. Is the tank even cycled?

Didn't everybody tell you not to get him. If many experienced members with nothing to gain from your fish tell you not to buy it, why buy it. The chances are you will not upgrade his tank so using that as your excuse isn't going to work. The chances are he will never get used to the tiny aquarium you have put him in becuase it is to big of a size change from the ocean the poor fish has never evolved to be able to live in such a small body of water as 2.5 gallons. Next time you buy a fish make sure you are making the fish happy not just yourself.

It will never adjust to that size tank. Even though Chromis are a small species they are a shoaling fish so the are very active swimming up into large body's of water. IMO no fish should be kept in a 2.5 gallon tank that size tank is like a crab tank.

PLEASE return the fish to the store.... its torture keeping something in a space so small. When you do upgrade, then go and get proper fish for it.

And go on Nano-reef.com forums! People said they had a green chromis and in a 2.5 gallon! I'm going to upgrade his home to a 55 gallon!

I don't think people are going to give you the answer you want.
Liveaquaria says 30 gallons minimum, so 2.5 is too small for this fish. If you dismiss all the advice given, then this thread is pointless. |
