Mandarin dragonet
Anyone ever have their mandarin go carpet surfing, had mine for about 2.5 months and yesterday he went hardwood floor diving. Didn't think they would do something like that. He usually just hung out in the rocks and we might see him once a week on the bottom at the rock edges. Just ****es me off cause he was a small beauty.

Really odd for a mandarin to jump. I've had all my wrasses, gobies and blennies jump at some point, but never my mandarin.

Check the tank for stray voltage from a powerhead or heater.

We lost our mandarin to the carpet. He was really healthy and fat too. Not too much later we found 2 mantis shrimps in the tank. I like to put the blame on them.

Some fish are more likely than other, but they all can jump.
