New to forum and reef tanks
Hello everyone,
Just moved from Hawaii to Ava, Missouri this year and thinking about getting back into keeping fish. So here is a little info on my fish keeping experience (not much) lol. The first fish I kept was from a fair about 25 years ago. I had that fish for nearly 8 years until someone decided to clean my tank with bleach while I was gone one summer. Well needless to say he and his tank mates didn't make it. Since then I have lived through other peoples tanks since I have avg 60 hours a week for the past decade or so and never had the time nor trusted anyone else to take care of a tank while deployed. Well I recently was retired and I feel its time for me to get back into a hobby I loved so much as a child. So... I am wanting to build an acrylic tank that measures 96x30x20, I was going to do a fish only Salt tank however my wife has always wanted a reef tank. I wont be adding a canopy to the tank and will build a stand for it and framing the wall behind the tank with mosaic tile. As for the equipment etc... everything has changed so much I get a little overwhelmed, but I press on with as much research as I can get. |
