Hanging Phonton 48

I am about to hang my Reef Breeders 48 Photon light and I was going to hang it slightly off center to the front and tilt the light back into the tank to eliminate shadows when viewed from the front. Has anybody else done this and how much of an offset ?

Well you want to eliminate shadows from the front.. But what about the back?

Might just be better off laying flat over your tank!
