BRS Rodi unit waste water pressure

Hi. I'm planning to reroute the waste water line into some Brute cans out in the yard. Wondering if the waste water has any pressure to pump the water out.

The 55gal brute cans will be sitting on a 2ft shelf. It will gravity pump water out for my plants. The waste line need to travel about 10ft horizontally and 6ft vertically into Brute cans. Anyone have similar set up? Or know if water can be pumped that far from RODI unit?

thanks!

That I know of, all your lines are technically pressurized, including the waste line. As you extend the length of waste line you increase the wear and tear on your membrane. That being said, I have my waste line routed 8 ft vertically to my ceiling and another 15-20 horizontally to a sink... poor planning on my part when deciding where to setup my water station. I also have my waste line setup with a flush kit so I can relieve the pressure on the membrane and flush it, like this:

Yes - the waste water line is pressurized - pretty darn close to the same pressure as your feedwater.

You don't damage the membrane as you extend the waste water tube. Just make sure when all is said/done, you have something close to a 4:1 ratio of waste water to permeate.
